Tool Shop Supervisor Salary - Depends on your background Direct workers engaged in production of prototypes or production components to ensure quality.Work from rough sketches and oral instructions. Produce workable parts, prototypes, or models to support Research & Development functions.Provide liaison between Engineering Department. and other departments of manufacturing division to assure that manufacture or purchase of products meet functional qualifications at the lowest possible cost. Maintain a constant surveillance over model shop processes for purpose of reducing and controlling costs. Responsible for the maintenance and procurement of machinery necessary to maintain model shop operations at competitive levels.Perform a wide variety of duties to develop, construct, procure, test, and evaluate a wide variety of completed components and mechanisms to support Research & Development and production processes including quality control, logistics and cost analysis.Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate max efficiency using Solidworks.Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project details to determine worker functions and responsibilities.Plan and perform difficult machine tool and assembly operations.Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility.Complete reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists.Regulate and alter workflow schedules to expedite production operations.Perform other duties as assigned or as dictated by job duties.If interested, please send resume to
